Designers Davora and Camilla incorporate organic and sustainable fabrics, but are equally committed to offering outstanding design at a price point that is more accessible than prêt-a-porter. They produce clothes to be machine washable and hope that they are worn daily and not seen as occasion garments. Prairie Underground designs are meant for industrious lifestyles, where there is little division between night and day wear. Art, music, street style, and a combination of country and rock and roll continue to be an enduring inspiration. All of their clothes are produced in Seattle Washington, in limited quantities and are made for the rain. Socially Conscious: Designed and created in the US, Prairie Underground practices fair trade, fair labor, and fair wages.
